Surat has a number of wonderful waterparks, picnic spots, green gardens, and places like  Tithal. All have a travelling time of less than two hours. But the mysterious Dumas Beach is best of all. You must be wondering why is this mysterious? Folklore says that this beach was once used as a burial ground for Hindus and because of the remains of the people supposedly buried here, it is the result in formation of black sand. It is also said that the departed souls of the evil spirits roam the beach at midnight, which contributed to the formation of black sand and made it a haunted spot. But you don’t have anything to worry about, it is completely safe and sound. Many families visit the beach to spend their quality time.
  • Crystal cleanliness
A dreadful amount of natural disasters like floods, and the plague coming thereafter hit this beautiful city but the municipal corporation and the citizens took a step ahead to make it a clean city. It is awarded as the fastest recovering city from the Gujarat floods. Also, there isn’t a single place that is unclean in the city any more. Because 95% of public transport and auto rickshaws run on CNG, pollution is reduced. The people of this city abiding by the rules and regulations led by the municipal corporation, makes this a better place to live in.
  • Food
As the Gujarati’s say, ”Kashi nu maran ane Surat nu Jaman, Kyarey na chhoday!”. It means “The bereavement in Kashi and the food in Surat can never be missed out!”.

For all the food lovers out there, street food in Surat is a must try. You’ll definitely love it.
