Five Group Water Scheme for Vadodara district; 943 Kilometer pipeline will be installed 

Savli, Karjan, Desar, and Vadodara talukas will receive water supplies. The water supply board will build 377 sumps and 26 water tanks, with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel performing the groundbreaking ceremony. The Water Supply Board will launch several group programs costing Rs 364 crore based on the Narmada and Mahi rivers for boosting the Vadodara district’s water distribution system. 

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will lay the foundation stone during his visit. A 943-kilometer internal pipeline will deliver water to villages of Savli, Desar, Karjan, and Vadodara talukas.

The group scheme includes an added significant plan of constructing 377 sumps and 26 tanks to provide drinking water supply to citizens through Wasmo and village-level water committees.

On Tuesday, 16th November, at 2.30 pm, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will attend the inauguration and closing ceremonies of several group water supply systems in Savli, Vadodara district. At Taluka Seva Sadan in Savli, several group water supply schemes worth Rs. 360.77 crore and development works of Rs. 210.49 crore will be inaugurated.

The Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana aims to provide villages with 100% safe drinking water. As a result, the project finished for Rs. 83.90 crores, and this initiative would help 2,95,351 households in Vadodara’s rural districts.

The population of 39 villages and 34 suburbs of Vadodara Taluka would receive water from the intake well after the Mahi river-based Vadodara North Division Group Water Supply Scheme is completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 126.59 crore. 

Extensively, 22 village-level underground sump and headworks, a 159.50-kilometer rising main and distribution pipeline, and 46 MLD and water-purification facility intake wells, built as part of this scheme. Bhupendra Patel, the Chief Minister, would therefore launch development projects worth Rs.210.49 crore.

Chief Minister will commence the development work of the water supply scheme of about Rs. 360.77 crore at Mahi River Based Improvement Part-II Group Water Supply Scheme, Desar Group Water Supply Scheme, Narmada Canal Based Savli East Division Group Water Supply Scheme, Vadodara South Division Group Water Supply Scheme, and Karjan West Division Group. The completion of this scheme will benefit the 150.87 lakh population of 211 villages, 149 suburbs, and two cities of Savli, Desar, Karjan, and Vadodara talukas.

The inauguration event will be chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with Rajendra Trivedi, Minister of Revenue and Law, Water Supply minister Hrishikeshbhai Patel, Minister of Fisheries, Minister of state for Narmada and Water Resources, Water Supply Jitubhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Water and Child Development, Manishaben Vakil, MP’s Ranjan Bhatt, Geetaben Rathwa, Mansukh Vasava, District Panchayat chairman Ashok Patel, MLA’s Shailesh Mehta, Ketan Inamdar, Akshay Patel, Madhu Srivastava, Yogesh Patel, Seemaben Mohile, Jitendra Sukhadia along with office bearers, dignitaries and citizens.
