Divine Splendor: Amarnath Darshan Comes to Gondal’s Vijayeshwar Mahadev Temple in Shravan Month

“An Icy Marvel Unveiled: Awe-Inspiring 8-Foot Shivling Beckons Devotees in a Spectacular Cave”

In the midst of the holy month of Shravan, a profound devotion to Lord Shiva permeates the air, with elaborate arrangements for the worship of the benevolent Lord Bholanath. Amidst this sacred ambiance, the Vijayeshwar Mahadev Temple in Vrindavan-3, nestled near the Sandhya Bridge on the Gondal Jetpur Road, has orchestrated a remarkable three-day Amarnath darshan.

At the heart of this spiritual spectacle lies an incredible 8-foot ice Shivling, nestled within a 40-foot long and 4-foot wide Amarnath cave, constructed within the temple premises. A staggering 16,350 kilograms of ice was meticulously sculpted to create this awe-inspiring representation of Lord Mahadev, an image that conveys the divine presence as if Lord Shiva Himself graces the magnificent Amarnath cave.

The creators of this icy marvel hail from the serene village of Sandhlidhar, situated in the Kodinar taluk of Gir Somnath district. Led by the indomitable spirit of Arvind Bharti Bapu and his team of 15 dedicated sevaks, they crafted a cave adorned with intricately carved ice structures, including the magnificent Shivlinga. However, the transient nature of ice artistry means that the cave, sculpted on the 27th, will naturally melt by approximately 60% over the course of three days.

To ensure that devotees have the opportunity to witness this divine marvel, the temple has scheduled three days of Amarnath Darshan on the 28th, 29th, and 30th. This unique event promises to be a truly spiritual experience.

Notably, the Shivlinga has been prepared with an exquisite touch, incorporating the essence of 6,600 Rudrakshas and the mystical properties of mercury. As the sun sets on Monday evening, Mahakal, the great Lord of Time, will be adorned, and a grand Mahaarti will grace the temple. The orchestrators of this celestial event, including Himatgiri Mugtagiri Goswami, Mahant Gautamgiri Gauswami, and the dedicated Vijayeshwara Mahadev Group, have undertaken a noble endeavor to bring this divine spectacle to life.
