Vadodara Power Cut: Gotri Residents Protest at MGVCL Office

Residents Protest at MGVCL Office After Overnight Power Outage in Gotri

Residents of Kumbharwada in the Gotri area of Vadodara staged a protest at the MGVCL office after facing a power outage of nearly 10 hours on Monday night. The electricity supply was disrupted around 8 pm and remained off through the night.

Locals said the outage caused discomfort due to high temperatures, especially for children and elderly residents. Several attempts were made to contact the MGVCL helpline, but residents reported that calls went unanswered.

On Tuesday, residents gathered at the MGVCL office to raise their concerns. Instead of a demonstration, they lay down inside the premises as a form of protest. The action was intended to highlight the delay in restoring power and the lack of response from authorities.

There was no immediate official statement from MGVCL regarding the cause of the outage or response to the protest. Further details are awaited.
