Vadodara District Panchayat Elections: BJP Announces Candidates for All 34 Seats
Vadodara: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its list of candidates for all 34 seats of the Vadodara District Panchayat ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
According to the list, the party has fielded new candidates on 32 seats, while retaining only two sitting members — Manishaben Parmar from Desar and Harshaben Parmar from Sherkhi. The move marks a significant change from the previous election, with most existing members not being repeated.
Party sources said several candidates have been selected from the Taluka Panchayat level, indicating a focus on promoting grassroots workers to higher responsibilities.
The elections are expected to take place as per the schedule announced by the State Election Commission. With candidates now finalised, political activity in the district is likely to increase in the coming days.
