₹2.8 Crore Worth Hybrid Drugs Seized at Surat Airport, One Passenger Held
In a major operation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized a large quantity of hybrid cannabis at Surat Airport. Acting on specific inputs, officials intercepted a passenger arriving on a flight from Delhi.
During the search, approximately 8.6 kg of hybrid drugs were recovered from the passenger. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹2.8 crore in the international market.
The accused has been detained, and further investigation is underway. Authorities are now probing the source of the drugs in Delhi and trying to trace the distribution network in Surat.
Officials are also examining possible links to a larger drug trafficking network.
