Residents of Ward No. 1 in Vadodara have put up banners in Nizampura’s Asmita Park Society and nearby areas, calling for an election boycott over ongoing civic issues, mainly the lack of regular drinking water supply.
According to local residents, the issue has persisted for several years despite repeated representations to authorities. They stated that basic facilities such as clean water, proper drainage, and road infrastructure are still inadequate in the area. Residents also referred to assurances given by local representatives in 2022, claiming that no significant improvement has been seen since then.
Some residents have said they may opt for NOTA (None of the Above) in the upcoming elections if their concerns are not addressed. They maintain that the issue is due to gaps in planning and implementation.
There has been no official response from municipal authorities or elected representatives so far. More details are awaited on any action to resolve the issue.
