Panguni Uthiram Kavadi Yatra Held in Vadodara with Over 500 Devotees

The 56th Panguni Uthiram Kavadi Yatra was held in Vadodara on Sunday, with members of the Tamil community taking part in the annual religious procession.

The yatra began around 6:30 am from Sursagar Lake and proceeded towards Shri Jai Ambe Kartik Swami Temple near Station Road. Over 500 devotees participated, carrying kavadi and pots filled with milk. Traditional instruments such as nadaswaram and chenda melam were played during the procession.

At the temple, rituals including milk abhishekam were performed for Lord Murugan. The temple is associated with the Tamil community and has been a centre for such events for several years.

Organisers said the yatra has been conducted for over five decades. People from different communities were also seen participating in the event.

Traffic movement in the area remained managed during the procession. More details regarding arrangements are awaited.
