Vadodara Police conducted a flag march in multiple parts of the city on Thursday ahead of the upcoming Ram Navami festival to ensure law and order and prevent any untoward incidents.
The march was carried out in sensitive areas, including narrow lanes and key market locations, under the joint coordination of City and Fatehgunj police stations. Senior officials, including DCP and ACP rank officers, led the operation along with a significant number of police personnel.
According to police, the purpose of the flag march was to increase visibility, reassure citizens, and deter any potential disturbance during the festival period. Officials also interacted with residents during the march.
Police have appealed to citizens to celebrate Ram Navami peacefully and maintain communal harmony. People have been advised to report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Monitoring of social media is also being carried out to prevent the spread of rumours.
Further security deployment is expected to continue in the coming days.
