Over the past few months, multiple large consignments of narcotic substances have been seized from different parts of Gujarat, including coastal areas and interstate border points. According to official information, agencies have recovered drugs such as heroin, MD and cannabis resin in operations carried out by Gujarat Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Several seizures were reported near port areas and along the state’s coastline, while some cases were detected during routine checks on highways connecting neighbouring states. Police officials have stated that investigations are ongoing to trace the source and intended destination of the seized material. In some cases, arrests have been made, while further inquiry is underway in others.
