Rahul’s ‘Martial Arts’ Style Attack in Parliament: “Government Surrendered to the US, Sold India!”
New Delhi | February 11, 2026
The Lok Sabha witnessed heated exchanges during the Budget Session as Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on the central government. Beginning his speech with references to martial arts and extending it to international trade and the so-called “Epstein files,” Gandhi targeted the Modi government on multiple fronts.
“We Are Living in an Age of War”
Rahul Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister’s earlier remark that “the era of war is over.” Referring to tensions in Gaza, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and US-China rivalry, he said the world is entering a new phase where energy, finance, and data are being used as weapons. He claimed the Union Budget lacks a roadmap to address these global challenges.
Allegations of ‘Surrender’ to the United States
Gandhi alleged that the India–US trade deal compromises India’s energy security and citizens’ data. He stated that if his party were in power, it would negotiate firmly with the US. He accused the government of putting national interests at risk.
Farmers and Economic Concerns
Raising concerns about agricultural policies, he claimed increased imports and tariff changes could adversely affect Indian farmers. He questioned the government’s trade decisions and their long-term impact on rural livelihoods.
Mention of ‘Epstein Files’ and Corporate Names
Outside Parliament, Gandhi referred to reports about the US Justice Department’s “Epstein files,” claiming certain Indian names were mentioned. He also raised questions regarding ongoing cases linked to prominent business groups.
Martial Arts Analogy in Politics
Using examples from judo and jujutsu, Gandhi spoke about “grip” in politics, suggesting that strong control can harm democratic institutions. He alleged that external pressures may be influencing key decisions.
The Budget Session continues with further debates expected in the coming days.
