Vadodara Police recovered the bike of MSU Student Leader Vasu Patel; peers demand for probe

On 6th November, Vadodara Manjalpur Police recovered the bike of MSU Baroda student leader Vasu Patel, whose dead body was discovered at the railway track near Manjalpur. The investigation is now seeking mobile call detail records, CCTV footage, and taking statements from peers of Patel.

The body of the former student, Vasudev Pravinbhai Patel, was found at the railway track near Manjalpur. Police began an investigation after registering the case. However, his friends, student leaders, and brother collectively raised doubt over the death.

On Thursday, following the same, an application was given to the Commissioner of Police demanding a fair investigation over the suspicious death case.

“We registered the statements of his friends about whether he was in depression or any money matter issues. The bike was recovered from the deceased friend’s house. Since the day of the incident, Patels’ phone has been switched off; we are in the process of getting the CDR( Call Detail Record) for further clues. Our one team is working to check the CCTV footage based on the statements of his friends about his frequently visited places. There is no CCTV alongside the track. We are trying every angle to get to the root of the incident.” says PSI S. B. Shelana, Manjalpur Police Station.
