Vadodara Congress gives memo to Collector on its foundation day

On the event of Congress Foundation Day, Vadodara city Congress gave notice to the Collector with an interest to decrease the rising costs of petroleum, diesel, and gas bottles in the Nation. Prior the party flag was raised at the Congress office within the presence of Vadodara City Congress President Prashant Patel, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Srivastava, Ward Presidents, Councilors, and Congress pioneers.

Congress chiefs, individuals, and supporters held representative notices and walked to Collector’s office demanding to take into account their requests to reduce the rising fuel costs in the nation. They gave an update to the Collectorate and appealed to the government to decrease the costs and give some relaxation to the individuals.
“In the last three months of the lockdown, the people have been suffering due to frequent and unreasonable hikes in petrol and diesel prices as well as central excise duty on it. At a time when the country is facing unprecedented health and economic epidemic, the government is profiting from the hardships of the people by repeatedly raising petrol, diesel prices, and gas prices. We demand rollback of rising prices and give some relief to people in such difficult times,” said Prashant Patel.

The Vadodara City Congress today, on its foundation day on 28th of December requested the government to reduce petroleum, diesel costs after March 8, 2020, and the increase in excise duty on it and give these advantages to its citizen.

It is to be mentioned that there was no social distancing maintained and thus flouted the COVID-19 guidelines.
