Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over ₹507 crore in Vadodara city and district on Friday.
The event included the launch of VISWAS 2.0 and Netram projects at the Police Bhavan to strengthen surveillance and improve traffic management. A foundation stone was also laid for a bridge over the Narmada River connecting Karjan and Jhagadia, with an estimated cost of ₹207 crore.
In addition, more than 160 classrooms built at a cost of ₹30 crore were inaugurated for students in the district. Housing units for police personnel, constructed at a cost of ₹172 crore, were also handed over.
Officials said these projects aim to improve infrastructure, public safety and basic facilities in the region. The developments come ahead of the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections in the state. Further updates regarding project timelines and implementation are awaited.
