37 IPS Officers Transferred in Gujarat; Changes in Vadodara Police

The Gujarat government has announced a major reshuffle in the state police administration with the transfer, promotion, and new postings of 37 IPS officers. The orders were issued late on Wednesday night by the Home Department.

As part of the changes, Additional Commissioner of Police in Vadodara, Leena Patil, has been transferred and appointed as Principal of the Police Academy in Karai, Gandhinagar. Nilesh Jhanjhadiya has been given the charge of Joint Commissioner of Police in Vadodara.

The reshuffle also includes changes in other key positions across the state. IPS officer Nirlipt Rai has been appointed as Inspector General of Police for the Rajkot Range. Several DIG-rank officers have been promoted to the rank of IG and posted to different districts and ranges.

Officials said the transfers are part of routine administrative changes aimed at strengthening the police administration. The new officers are expected to assume charge of their respective positions as per the orders issued by the Home Department.
