A bomb threat email received at the District Court complex in the Diwalipura area of Vadodara on Monday morning led to heightened security and temporary suspension of court activities. Police said the email claimed that a bomb had been planted inside the court premises.
Following the alert, teams from the Vadodara Police, SOG, Crime Branch, and the bomb detection and disposal squad reached the location. A dog squad was also deployed to conduct a detailed search of the court complex.
As a precaution, court authorities and the Vadodara Bar Association asked lawyers, staff, and visitors to vacate the premises. Ongoing judicial proceedings were temporarily halted while security checks were carried out.
Police officials said the threat is being taken seriously and a thorough inspection of the court premises is underway. The cyber cell has started tracing the origin of the email to identify the sender. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
