Vadodara: NSUI Protests Over MSU PRO Holding Political Post
A protest was held at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in Vadodara after NSUI members demanded the resignation of the university’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lakulesh Trivedi, following his appointment as BJP City General Secretary.
The protest took place at the university head office campus. NSUI leaders submitted a memorandum to the Registrar, stating that a senior administrative official in an educational institution should not hold an active political position. They raised concerns over neutrality in university administration and called for immediate action.
During the protest, university gates were briefly closed and police personnel were deployed on campus to maintain order. Slogans were raised by student members, but no untoward incident was reported.
University Registrar has stated that the matter will be examined as per rules and regulations. NSUI leaders have said they will intensify their agitation if no action is taken.
