R.B Brahmbhatt was serving as the Commissioner of Police in Surat city for the last 10 months. Amongst the mass transfers and promotions in Gujarat Police, R.B Brahmbhatt was transferred to Vadodara as the new Police Commissioner. Present Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot has been transferred and appointed as IGP Intelligence Gandhinagar and has formally handed over the charges to R.B Brahmbhatt. Gehlot will hold the additional charge of Executive Director GUVNL Vadodara.
Today, R.B Brahmbhatt formally took charge as the new police commissioner of Vadodara in a ceremony at the Police Bhavan. He was greeted with a salute on his arrival at the Police Bhavan Campus. Anupam Singh Gehlot welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. He was also welcomed by other senior police officials and congratulated him for taking over as the new Police Chief of Vadodara.
R.B Brahmbhatt said that the city of Vadodara is new and he will continue the steps taken by Anupam Singh Gehlot to maintain law and order. ” The safety of the people of Vadodara city will be my priority and I will take whatever steps are necessary for people’s safety. Strict actions will be taken to control crime and I hope that the people of Vadodara will continue to support me”.
