Vadodara: Young mind starts a unique service to aid animals and injured during Uttarayan

Deep Parikh starts a unique service to aid the treatment of animals and birds injured during the Uttarayan festival. Under Seva Manorath Samiti (SMS), Parikh handovers essential medicines to animal welfare organizations for treatment.During the Uttarayan festival, birds and animals got injured after coming in contact with the deadly kite strings. They got treated in the two days camp by the forest department and later released after recovery. However, many of the badly injured are kept home by animal welfare organizations bearing the cost on their own. To help them, Deep Parikh started this service to provide medicines from this year for the treatment.

Parikh, along with a member of his organization, Akash Patel, hand over necessary medicines to Arvind Pawar of Wildlife Rescue Trust.

He said after the camp, the injured birds were kept by the animal welfare organizations at their own homes for treatment. To help them, they give medicines to treat 150 such birds and animals this year as part of their social responsibility.

Arvind Pawar also appreciates the gesture and request everyone to come forward to help NGOs involved in the treatment of injured birds and animals.
