Tracing back in the records, May 8th recorded the highest number of 989 Covid-19 cases, the city has managed to come down to nil cases in the past 60 hours.
According to figures and reports released by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), not a single case of Covid-19 has been reported in the last 60 hours, on Tuesday.
So far, the total number of corona-positive cases in Vadodara city and district has reached over 72,101. The official death toll in the Vadodara district has remained stable at 623. A total of 71,461 people have been safely recovering from the deadly virus so far.
It’s worth noting how Vadodara has handled the city’s immunization push, which has helped to reduce the number of new cases. The number of incoming cases and reports according to the vaccination drive has revealed that the first dose of immunization in the city has achieved 100 percent, successfully.
On Tuesday, vaccinations were in high demand in the city due to the festive break of Eid. 20,439 people were vaccinated, according to the health department’s estimates.
The first dose was administered to 6,622 patients on Tuesday. With this, 94.20 percent of the complete immunization from the first dosage was achieved. The second dosage taker was identified as 13,817.
