Junagadh: Mahashivratri Fair to Begin at Bhavnath Foothills from February 11

The four-day Mahashivratri Fair 2026 will begin on February 11 at the foothills of Girnar near Bhavnath Mahadev Temple in Junagadh, with cultural and devotional programmes planned through February 14. The annual fair is organised by the district administration and the state cultural department.

According to officials, the opening night on February 11 will feature devotional music performances by Maithili Thakur and Rajbha Gadhvi. Maithili Thakur is scheduled to present Shiva bhajans and classical compositions, while Rajbha Gadhvi will perform folk literature and devotional songs in his traditional style.

The fair programme includes customary events such as flag hoisting, Damaru Yatra, and a grand aarti with lamps. The venue will be illuminated with floodlights, and arrangements have been made for food distribution through multiple annakshetras.

In the following days, performances by artists including Suresh Wadkar, Parth Oza, and Geeta Rabari are also planned. The administration has stated that traffic, parking, and security arrangements have been strengthened in view of the expected large turnout of devotees.
