This workshop aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of tobacco, to shed light on the socio-economic disadvantages associated with its use, and educate participants about the provisions of the ‘Tobacco Control Act’. The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Rajesh Patel, the Epidemic Medical Officer, who played a crucial role in enlightening the students.

By understanding the provisions of the act, the students gained a deeper comprehension of the importance of tobacco control and the role they could play in promoting a tobacco-free environment.

Inspired by the knowledge imparted during the workshop, the students made a collective commitment to break free from tobacco addiction. They pledged to take proactive measures to make their homes, society, and villages completely tobacco-free zones. By doing so, they aimed to protect not only their own health but also the well-being of their communities.
