Disappointments are just God’s way of saying that he has better plans for you!

“Like many girls, even I believed in fairy tales that ended with a Prince in shining armor to come riding on a horse and sweep the fairy off her feet. But thankfully, I learned how to complete myself on my own and knew that real life isn’t a fairy tale. Well, I am currently 28 years old and I never officially had some “boyfriend” ever, until one day when I bumped into him. A guy who stayed next door had all my heart and it was then when I knew that fairy-tales do happen. Everything was just as planned, from those secret dates to those official hang-outs. From the memorable holidays to the wedding preparations. Not only me and him, but all the families were as involved to make this marriage a real big deal. I have had the best two years of my life, never did I ever feel so special before him- Yes he was my knight in shining Amor. We had no barriers left to cross, having the best time of our lives, feeling each other to their deepest soul. But as they say, dreams shatter and reality strikes at some moment. Same happened with me. It wasn’t that our love was not right but may be the time wasn’t, I came from the states and was dumbfound to the situation that I was to face. He called my dad and told him that he can’t marry me and left without either talking to me or giving me any sort of explanations. I was LOST, had a hard time accepting that life can’t always be the way we want. But I understand now that you can’t live and learn about life without struggling. Disappointments are just God’s way of saying that he has better plans for you and there is always a reason behind everything that happens. God gave you this life because he knows you’re strong enough to live it and deal with it. Let nothing stop you.”
