CM to extend the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Incentive Compensation Scheme”: Tax relief to the municipalities

The decision to extend the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Incentive Compensation Scheme” for two more months; provides tax relief to the municipalities.

▪️ Municipalities will get the benefit of this relief in various taxes levied from the townspeople for infrastructural facilities.

▪️ The amount of tax for the financial year 2022-23. The townspeople who pay the advance by June 30th, 2022, will be given the benefit of 7% compensation

▪️ Taxpayers will get an additional 5% refund by 31st July 2022 through the mobile app or online portal of e-Nagar.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to extend the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Incentive Compensation” scheme launched this year for the citizens living in the towns of the state for two more months in June and July. The Chief Minister has adopted this innovative approach to facilitate and encourage the citizens in paying taxes on various infrastructural services provided to the townspeople by the municipalities of the state including property tax, general water tax, special water tax, light tax, sewerage tax, etc.

If they repay the advance by 30th June 2022, they will get 7% compensation. The CM has also decided to speed up Prime Minister’s ‘Digital India resolution’ by paying such tax through the mobile app or online portal of e-Nagar. Citizens who repay by June 30th, 2022, will receive an additional 5 percent compensation. That is, citizens who make digital transactions will get the benefit of a total return of 15%.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has also shown a noble attitude that more citizens of the towns can avail the benefits of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Protsahak Valtar Yojana. During the same period, those who pay tax through an e-Nagar mobile app or e-Nagar’s online Citizen portal will get entitled to an additional five percent refund. CM has decided to extend the implementation of this “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Promotional Compensation Scheme” for another two months to increase the revenue of the municipalities of the state, as well as to make it easier for the taxpayers to pay their taxes.
