‘21mu Tiffin’, a special screening hosted by the She-Team

A special screening of Gujarati film ’21mu Tiffin’ for Vadodara police personnel and staff; main actors Nilam Panchal and Naitri Trivedi, as well as director Vijaygiri Bawa, were present during the screening.

On Tuesday, the She-Team hosted a special screening of the classic Gujarati film ’21mu Tiffin’ for female police personnel and employees in Vadodara. Around 400 female cops and staff take a break from their busy schedules to watch a Gujarati film, making waves at international film festivals.

A middle-class housewife loses her identity while fulfilling the roles of a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend in this film. She is running a tiffin service business until she meets her 21st tiffin customer and sees how a little gratitude from him changes everything.

’21mu Tiffin’ was previously named a winner in the WRPN Women’s International Film Festival’s Outstanding Excellence Category and screened at India’s Toronto International Film Festival. It is the only Gujarati film chosen for the India International Film Festival.

The film premiered at the 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. The film is one of nine that the ICFT UNESCO has chosen to compete for the Gandhi award, also chosen for the 16th Tasveer South Asian Film Festival, which will take place in 2021.
