A child from the Manjalpur area of Vadodara was taken for medical treatment after allegedly consuming a packaged mango drink from a tetra pack in which a foreign object was later found.
The incident was reported from Shankar Vasahat near Alwa Naka in Manjalpur. According to the child’s family, the tetra pack of a mango drink brand was purchased from the local market. After drinking part of it, the child complained of an unusual taste and discomfort.
The family took the child to SSG Hospital for examination. They also carried the tetra pack with them. According to the family, when the packet was cut open in the presence of hospital staff, an insect-like object was seen inside the pack.
The child was given medical attention at the hospital. The father has filed a complaint regarding the incident and requested action in the matter.
Police said they have received the complaint and further inquiry is underway. More details are awaited.
