Vadodara: EVM First-Level Checking Begins Ahead of VMC Elections
Preparations for the upcoming Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) elections have begun, with the city administration starting the First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The process marks an important step in ensuring smooth and transparent conduct of the civic polls.
The FLC is currently being carried out at the South Zone office in Vadodara. EVMs manufactured by Bharat Electronics Limited are being checked under the supervision of company engineers and senior municipal officials. Around 40 trained personnel have been deployed for the exercise. Each machine is being examined point by point to identify and rectify any technical issues before the election schedule is announced.
Officials said the checking process is part of standard election preparedness and will continue as per guidelines issued by the Election Commission. The administration has stated that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure free and fair elections.
Meanwhile, political activity has also picked up in the city, with parties beginning internal preparations. More details regarding the election timeline and further arrangements are awaited from the authorities.
