Smart Welcome to a Smart City

This unique multi-purpose entry gate has been built in Chhani, to welcome vehicles entering from the north of Vadodara. It will serve as a drive-through food zone and also act as a public space for various activities. It includes smart electric charging points to charge vehicles, meanwhile people can relax and enjoy at the food court. There’s shaded green sit outs and coffee shops overlooking the entry as well. The bhoomi poojan ceremony for the same took place yesterday.
Considering the love of Barodians of using existing bridges as a public space, the Chhani entry gate will also have a pedestrian bridge for crossing this highway.
Other amenities includes a water fountain, green landscaping, weather monitoring system and surveillance of vehicles entering and exiting the city.
By providing avenues for commercial activities it will be a self-reliant project with no burden of expenses on VMC post completion.
