Jagadguru Swami Nischalananda Saraswati, Shankaracharya of the Govardhan Math in Puri, visited Vadodara as part of his religious tour and interacted with devotees and members of the media during his stay in the city.
During the interaction, the Shankaracharya spoke about India’s role in promoting peace and dialogue at a time when several parts of the world are facing geopolitical tensions. Referring to ongoing international conflicts, he said India has historically shared messages of peace, spiritual values and dialogue with the world.
He also spoke about the importance of preserving Sanatan cultural traditions and maintaining unity within the country. According to him, cultural awareness and social harmony play an important role in strengthening the nation.
Several followers and devotees gathered during his visit to seek blessings. Organisers said the visit was part of his ongoing religious outreach and interaction with devotees in different cities. Further programmes related to the visit were expected to continue as scheduled.
