A Holi–Dhuleti celebration featuring traditional Rajasthani cultural performances was organised in the Fatehpura area of Vadodara by members of the Sargara community. The event was held in the Marwadi locality, where community members gathered to mark the festival with traditional rituals, music and dance.
According to organisers, the Sargara community has been living in Vadodara for nearly 100 to 150 years and continues to celebrate festivals while preserving its cultural traditions. Following the Holi bonfire, participants performed traditional Rajasthani Gair dance and Lathi Raas, accompanied by the sound of drums and other instruments.
Men and youths dressed in traditional attire took part in the dance performances, while women from the community sang folk songs during the celebration. Residents of different age groups attended the event.
Organisers said the celebration aimed to maintain cultural traditions and bring community members together during the festival period. The Holi–Dhuleti celebration concluded peacefully after the cultural performances.
