On World Restart a Heart Day, SSG hospital held a training workshop at Covid Command Center

According to the new guideline of the National Medical Council, it is mandatory for all resident doctors to undergo the relevant BCLS training. As part of World Restart A Heart Day, a training workshop was organized at the Covid Command Center at Sayaji Hospital jointly with Medical College and the Department of Anesthesiology.

Informing about the importance of this training for doctors, the Professor and Head of the anesthesiology department, Dr. Swati Bhatt said that training in the use of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is of paramount importance for all medical professionals. This training remains useful in the survival of the patient as long as a high level of medical assistance is available.

According to the guideline of the Indian Resuscitation Council (IRC), under the leadership of the department’s co-professor Dr. Kavita Lalchandani, Assistant Professors Dr. Darshana Patel, Afroz Saeed, Dr. Neha Cheraya, and Dr. Pinal Bumiya give training with the help of human figure.

On this occasion, the Dean of Baroda Medical College, Dr. Tanuja, Medical Superintendent of Sayaji Hospital, Dr. Ranjan Krishna Iyer and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hemant Mathur was present and explained the usefulness and importance of this training.
