Elections for the board of Baroda Dairy are set to be held for 13 director posts across different zones in Vadodara and Chhota Udepur districts. The cooperative body, which plays a key role in milk procurement and payments to farmers, has seen increased political activity ahead of the polls.
Party-level consultations are currently underway to finalise candidates. In Padra, Dinesh Patel and Bhaskar Patel are among the contenders. In the Chhota Udepur tribal zone, Sangram Rathwa and Atul Patel are reported to be in the fray. Some candidates have already filed their nominations.
Apart from the 13 director seats, attention is also on positions such as the Registrar representative and the Managing Director, which will be decided after the board is formed.
The election outcome will determine the new leadership of Baroda Dairy and its future policy decisions. Official confirmation of candidates is expected soon. Further updates are awaited as the process progresses.
