A quantity of foreign alcohol got busted, stashed within a tunnel near Mahisagar river in Dodka hamlet, according to Bhadarva Police. The cops seized 2,688 quarters and bags, as well as a total of Rs 2.68 lakhs worth of alcohol.

According to current information, officers from the Bhadarva police station were on patrol for election-related responsibilities. Meanwhile, they learned about a guy named Arjunbhai Jerabhai Mali, from Dodka in the Vadodara district, who had ordered a large quantity of foreign alcohol from outside the village and hidden it at the back of his house in the village, by digging a tunnel along the Mahisagar river’s bank.

PSI S.K. Charel and his crew stormed the location and inspected the tunnel site, seizing a considerable quantity of foreign liquor based on this information. The tunnel was large enough to accommodate a large group of people. Using a torch and a cell phone light, police dug a pit and discovered 2,688 quarters and pouches of foreign liquor, totaling Rs 2.68 lakh. However, because the accused was not there at the time, authorities immediately charged him and accelerated the inquiry into his arrest.
