VMC inspects sweet shops before Rakshabandhan

The world has been rattled by the outbreak of coronavirus. In India, the cases are increasing rapidly. The market has resumed and the country is gearing up for Rakshabandhan. In Vadodara, VMC health teams are checking the quality of farsan and sweets available in the shops.

In Rakshabandhan, the sale of the sweets are maximum and keeping the health of people in consideration, VMC Health teams have been formed for inspection of sweet shops

Today, the health teams inspected the sweet shops in Alkapuri, Gotri, Manjalpur, Rajmahal Road and VIP Road to check the quality of sweets and farsan. Samples were collected of Kesar Peda, Kaju Anjir Roll, Butter Scotch Barfi, Anjir Barfi and others and have been sent for laboratory testing.

The food safety officers also issued schedule 4 notice to the shops not maintaining hygiene at the workplace.
