Under PASA, police caught a notorious bootlegger in Vadodara and transferred him to the state’s Bhuj jail. Police raided the bootlegger’s residence five months ago and recovered 300 containers of foreign liquor.
According to records, Police Inspector KP Parmar of Panigale Police Station seized different brands of IMFL from a cement mixer truck, a car, and a house at Vaikunth society on Waghodia road on 20th June, on the orders of the Commissioner of Police. The team also apprehended two more suspects.
Police found cash, mobile phones in their possession and seized items worth Rs 34,71,200 from the spot.
Vikramsinh Natwarsinh Chavda was one of the accused in the crime, and his PASA proposal documents were made and delivered to the Commissioner of Police. Vikram Chavda, a notorious bootlegger, was arrested and transported to Bhuj Jail on a warrant issued by Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh to stop illicit operations.
