Vadodara police arrests 4 in gas pilfering racket

The prevention of crime branch at the city police station area busted a gang pilfering off gas in empty cylinders.

This incident happened at the Dhruvas gas agency neat Ajabdi mill at Uttrava wadi where the police arrested four of the accused. The gang used to pilfer gas from a sealed LPG container bottle and siphon it to an empty gas cylinder with a very small nozzle and sell it off to customers.

The prevention of crime branch got a tip about this ring and the police caught four of the accused running the scam. The owner of the godown Nilesh Kahar and other employees are on the run. Around 100 gas cylinder bottles and 36 bottles of alcohol were confiscated from the godown.
