Not ‘Panipuriwala’, It’s ‘Policewala’: Vadodara Police Disguises to Catch the Criminal

The cops or secret agents dress up as something/someone else to catch the wanted criminal, looks like a film plot naa?

But this happened in Vadodara where the Vadodara police disguised as street vendors like panipuri vendors to catch a drug peddler. They went to Baat-Bazaar in the Naswadi area of Chota Udepur to catch the accused wanted who had been fleeing for three years. They kept a watch based on the tip-off, in the disguised avatar for three days and nabbed him.

The Vadodara Special Operations Group had made lorries functional to blend in with the market vendors, to keep their moves very secretive to catch this drug peddler named Radesh Rathwa a resident of Umathi village near Kawant in Chhotaudepur district.

Rathwa had been fleeing for three years when the Pani Gate police team seized 3 kgs of marijuana. Despite several searches of the accused sent to his village and other locations, he was still fleeing.

Vadodara SOG started food trucks in Naswadi market to nab the accused for three years in the Vadodara ganja case and nabbed him after three days. Despite repeated teams sent by SOG PI VS Patel, the team was unsuccessful. As the police gathered intelligence, they discovered that the suspect regularly visited Naswadi market for his shopping activities.

After three days, the police successfully apprehended the accused as he arrived to make a purchase. Law enforcement set up a surveillance operation using a truck selling panipuri, vegetables, and coconuts in the Naswadi market.
