Eight students from Vadodara selected for National Children’s Science Congress’s (NCSC) finale

Eight students from schools have made it to the final round of National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC). It is been organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The 26th national level competition will be held in Bhubhneshwar on 27th December. The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology in collaboration with the state Department of Science and Technology and had organised a two-day competition at Gujarat Vidyapeeth on 2nd and 3rd December in which 300 research projects participated for their selection for the finals at NCSC.
Community Science Centre is a district level NCSC coordinating body which had received 70 registrations, out of which four entrees got selected for the state level competition as a part of 28 project selections across the state.
From Sant Kabir Indian International School, winners include Astha Choksi and Remanika Tandon who were guided by Shilpi Ranjan. Their project was ‘teachers friendly duster’. Vrishin Shah and Tapasya Shah from New Era Senior Secondary School presented on ‘diamond on the garage’. The duo was guided by Dr Kavita Ranka.
Students of Bright Day School’s CBSE unit at Harni, Nishi Thakkar and Arya Vaghela showcased the project of ‘bio-plastic’ under the guidance of Nishi Kaithwas. They also emerged as winners.
‘Traditional food management system’ submitted by Siddhi Amin and Helly Gandhi also made it to the list of winning entries. Dr Jyotsna Amin was their guide.
Such projects help them analyse and exercise on the importance of documentation abilities.
