Duh! Vadodara, Y U SO BORING?

“Oh! Vadodara is tad bit boring to be honest. No nightclubs, no pubs, no hangout zones, no fancy branded stores. Basically, there is so much missing in this city.”
Yes! We, Barodians, have definitely heard this from people who lived in metropolitan cities, but now, are dwelling Vadodara. It isn’t hard to guess that they are probably having a hard time accepting, adjusting, adapting or they are just ‘metro-city sick’ (homesick).

Plato said, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.” The impeccable union of the old and new is the true beauty of Baroda, now Vadodara. The ‘Sanskar Nagri’ of the state is high spirited, vibrant, cosmopolitan, yet remarkably culturally rooted, which has just about all the key characteristics of a metro city, sadly few people fail to see the magnificence of Vadodara. This city has become the one-stop hub for educational, industrial and commercial sectors.

We, Barodians, do not need nightclubs or fancy dance floors, just an open ground with sparkly lights and good music is enough to get them boogie, be it the garba nights or other musical events. Undoubtedly, Vadodara is the perfect city if you’re on the lookout to please the taste buds with vast variety of cuisines and delicacies. Known as the cultural capital, this city holds the mixture of various cultures and traditions together in one; without a doubt, Barodians celebrate numerous festivals of different religions throughout the year with high fervour and zeal.

One can easily define Vadodara just by the warm-hearted people to other unexplored facts in and around the city. Be it from oldest and largest garden, the royal palace, the museums, sprawling campus of MS University and the art galleries; this list is endless even on Wikipedia.

Just as any other city around the globe, Vadodara, too has its plus and minus. Regardless, this city eventually grows on you, only when you willingly sync along.

So, is Vadodara still ‘tad bit boring’?
