Vadodara-Nothing is Perfect,We need to make it.
Living in this amazing cultural city for a couple of years now, yet there is a lot many things missing. Every single time simple question of ‘what is missing’ comes up; there are numerous answers that pop into my head, at times with solutions. Vadodara is just like every other city around the globe which has its plus and minus.Just the other day it rained for a couple of hours and I stepped out to enjoy the rain. But, all I could see was mini-swimming pools everywhere with Balaji and other packets floating in it. Due to this almost each and every road around the city has some sort of patch-work done on it; I bet everyone would agree to this. The all-new addition to the roads is cows and buffalos in numbers which makes the roads filthy.
Over the years Vadodara has become equivalent to Ahmedabad and Surat at every level and even better in few, but the lack of basic hygiene is one of the most important things missing in Vadodara. VMC is doing their job of going door-to-door and collecting the domestic waste, however, the efforts go in vain as soon as they dump the waste near L&T circle. It is a nuisance. A remote area to dump the waste can be a possible solution. A number of outskirt areas of Vadodara are becoming a part of the city. The biggest problem around these developing areas is there are no streetlights, which can be dangerous when it comes to safety and driving along those roads. Every so often I wish for quite a few missing things i.e., pavements where people can actually on, more public gardens, drive-in cinemas so movie fanatics won’t have to drive all the way to Ahmedabad for reasonably affordable entertainment, hangout places, bowling allies, new swimming pools where people can learn and be trained, a specific area for stunt riders so that bikers won’t try performing stunt and killing themselves; I can go on and on about this, nevertheless as of now all I hope few of the major issues can wake up VMSS.
